METHODS
Part One: Survey
We are conducting a representative longitudinal survey with 3,617 Canadian participants over a period of many months to track the status of the Canadian population in the context of COVID-19. Each participant will complete at least 11 questionnaires.
Part Two: Experimental Studies
Controlled experiments are conducted to complement the representative survey. For example, we have undertaken experimental studies to examine intentions to adhere to preventive measures in different social situations. Other experiments also aim to study helping behaviors towards asylum seekers in the context of the pandemic.
Part Three: Qualitative study (coming soon)
Interviews with Canadians from disadvantaged groups, particularly those who are harder to reach through the online survey, will be conducted to see if their personal experience of the health crisis reflects what was observed in the survey.
